Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling)
This is probably one of the most scenic train rides and India. And what more, it’s light on the pocket as well! Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling (one way, about 87kms) is about Rs. 1,285. The diesel engine hauled toy train takes about 7 hours to reach Darjeeling.
